Default bed swap?

Hey guys new here. 17 and just bought a 2012 f150 127k miles for 4k at an auction. the bed arches are kinda rusted and look pretty bad. I was wondering if the aluminum beds would fit on my truck? thanks in advance

Unfortunately not. You’ll need an 09-14. 04-08 will also bolt up.

Anything will fit anywhere with enough time, work and money. I'd just try and find the same model though.

There are companies that do the bed swaps for work trucks, you might try to find one that still has a practically new one.

Thanks guys. Yea I was just thinking it would be nice to have a non-rusting bed in MD... Bed is still solid just looks bad because it's a white truck. Maybe in spring I will cut out the rust and weld in some new metal.

Find a southern non rusted bed and have it delivered. www.southern-truck.com/fordshortboxes.html

But before spending any money and time, ensure the rest of the truck is worthy of a new bed.

Check the lower front fenders as they fill up with debris and rot from the inside out, the rockers, low portions in the frame, etc.

Do not go welding in New metal into a f150 that new. A new bed is relatively cheap and only takes about 45 min to change with a friend's help.
