Despite slight variations (in actual length) between generations, The common/generic reference for bed lengths are 5.5, 6.5 and 8

Most 1/2 ton crew cabs have the 5.5' bed. The 6.5' bed is most common on regular cabs, and Supercabs (extended cabs with the small back seat). They make a few crew cabs with 6.5' beds. Most people find them too long and opt for the shorter bed in order to keep overall length manageable.

But then there are those who want the extra bed space. I've driven a 5.5' bed since 2002 and have yet to find anything I couldn't carry where another 12" would help. I'd rather have a more maneuverable truck. But there are a lot of people who like them. That's why they make them.

The overall length of a regular cab 8' bed, a Supercab with the 6.5' bed and Supercrew 5.5' bed are all the same. You're truck is about a foot longer overall.

its really strange, my supercrew cab listed as 5.5 bed but i took a tape to it and im getting 6' 5-1/2 inches. i looking for a top for it and then i seen the differnce in bed size.maybe a mistake on the dealer listing?

Dealer listings are hardly 100% accurate. Your tape measure doesn't lie. The quickest way to tell, is looking from the side... If there is equal space in front of and behind the rear wheel well, its a 6.5' bed.

If you post a photo of it, we can tell you what size bed you have.
