Default Bed Rug install

Anybody know if there is an issue installing a full bed rug on a truck with the bed utility package (bed step-bed lights -110 outlet). I understand the rug would need to be cut for the outlets/light but is there any problem sticking the rug to the tailgate panel?? Anyone install one on this configuration? Thanks

I'd be concerned about adhesion to the sprayed bed liner more than the tailgate panel. It also took more than cutting holes for the lighting. I had to chamfer the edge of the cutout so the bed rug would compress enough to get the lights snapped in while holding the bed rug tight in place.

It should work, just cut around lights.

Ya thanks, I don't have a spray in liner but am concerned about adhesion on the plastic/nylon tail gate panel. I know about the bed rug and the bed lights. I did one on a 2017 and it is tricky trimming around the hole to make the light fit back in. If I remember correctly, you need to remove the tail lights to access the bed lights. thanks for your input.

Your signature indicates a spray bedliner so I assumed it was the same truck.

It would have been sometime in early 2016 that I installed the bed rug in my old truck. I don't remember if I removed the taillight to access the bed lights or went in from underneath but the trimming to get the bed lights and their switch to fit is something that sticks in my mind.
