Default Battery light??

Battery light in dash cluster is flickering. Batt gauge is normal. Acceleration makes the light go away and flicker less. Any ideas? Is it shorting out somewhere?

Swing by Advance Auto Parts, Pep Boys, Autozone etc. and have them do a load test. Start with the simple fix first!

The guage is connected to the alternator, so don,t go by that for a possible bad battery. Light flikers or goes out because the alt is putting out more juce with more throttle. load test the battery IMO.

Simple test to ensure it Ian the alternator (still).

Run the car, and unplug the positive terminal from the battery. If the car stops, the alternator needs to be replaced.

Sorry if this was obvious, but if you havent tried it yet, it's worth a mention.
