Default battery help

I have a battery connector that got cut and is barely on. My truck won't start after sitting for a few weeks. So, I need to know the easiest way to replace the connector on my 05 F-150. New cables or cut them and replace just the connector end? Also, can I buy the ones at auto zone off the shelf or do I need to get specific part numbers? Any help appreciated, TIA.
