After reading up on my problem regarding the Batterie "Charging System Service Now" Warning light for my 2016 Ford F150, I noticed that many people are having this same issue. I called my dealer and he said that they have repaired many trucks with this problem for the year 2016 and he knew exactly what to do to repair it. I seriously think this should be a recall item but I have no clue how to go about encouraging Ford to take action on this. If anybody knows how to do push it into a recall, can you please let me know? Thank you!

I've seen a few of these posts lately but I don't think enough to make a recall.
Did the dealer tell you how to fix it? That might be of more help around here for people out of warranty than waiting months/years trying for a recall.
I finally got my truck back! The problem was one of the following 3 items which the dealers were not hesitant in fixing as they all said they had multiple calls regarding this problem. (Which I still think should be a recall item!)
1. Battery too low.
2. Damaged harness from alternator to battery.
3. Negative cable from battery rubbing onto driver's side cross member.
Recalls are usually for safety related issues. Like doors that don't close or exploding airbags. The most Ford may do is issue a TSB so dealers know it's a known problem and advise them how to troubleshoot the problem. Wouldn't hold my breath waiting on a free fix.
Thank you for your reply. I travel a lot up North in the minus 40 degrees Celsius and many kms with no human contact or cell phone reception. If my truck dies off because of this problem which is apparently pretty common according to the dealers then it does become a safety issue. I did not wait for a free fix as I could not risk it but I can now travel again with a clear conscience. It would be nice if Ford would acknowledge the problem and issue a recall. I am certain they would keep their fans by doing this.

NHTSA Recalls are a tool which attempts to reduce traffic fatalities. There are many things that could go wrong on a vehicle which would result in it not being able to start and/or keep running; the vast majority of these things would not meet the requirements to issue a recall.
A tear in a seat cover could distract the driver and cause a crash. By the logic cited above, this tear would become a safety issue.
Ford does issue quality-related campaigns thru its Customer Satisfaction Program. If you really believe the issues you listed a few posts back warrant such an action, you should escalate this with Ford.
