Default bakflip question

im thinking of getting the bakplip F1 but i have some minor concerns. Iv seen the videos and whatnot and is there a way to lock it down without having it flipped up against the back window? What i mean is, if i want to open it all the way but dont need to flip it up against the back window is there a way to lock it so it stays there or dose it have to be all the way up or fully closed?? what if i only want 1 or 2 pannels open? will it work? Anyone whos got a bakflip pleast chim in..

At the cab end are two rings to use a bungee or strap the bakflip partway open. You can have one or two panels open.

i have one on my wifes truck and there r 2 small d-rings at the front, like lasttruck stated. pretty good little contraption.. but if i had to do it agian i would go with "roll bak"
it is a little more expensive but it locks down and rolls back into a little box ...if u need a little bed space it locks in place every 12"..and u cant see it from the side profile..

Default Bakflip security

My F1 Bakflip has two d rings at the front of the cover by the cab on top it also has two d rings on the under side of the third section towards the cab from the tailgate. If you open just one section there aren't any d rings on that section but that is no problem I always open two sections if I want it open.I leave two 18" bungees hanging from the underside D rings on the third section so I fold 'em and hook 'em.I have a 5 1/2 foot bed so my bakflip has three sections a four section bakflip probably operates the same way.I'll take a picture and post it later today.

Awesome guys thanks for the posts. I would love a roll back style but I have a 4 wheeler that wont fit with a roll back. If the roll back removed easily I could go with one of those but they don't look like they remove that easy. Correct me if im wrong??
