Default Bad ride

Just bought a used 2011 f150 xlt supercab 4x4 a week ago.Is it me or do all the supercabs ride like crap.I tried a new supercab and supercrew out last spring.Supercrew rode twice as good.My 2001 supercrew that I just sold rode 3 times better than the new one.It is like when you hit a bump in the road the whole body sends out a shock wave that you feel from front to back, kind of like a echo.Or am I just nuts?

Check your tire pressure. Set it at or about 5 psi lower than whats recommended for the truck, not the max on the tire.
It may be too high.

I never test drove a SuperCrew but I did drive one Supercab 4x4 before I bought my Supercab 4x2.

The 4x4 had Goodyear tires and I liked the way it rode compared to my 4x2 with Hankook tires. I am however, very satisfied with the ride of my truck, however.

The first supercab I tried out was a FX4.It rode really really bad.Went down the same road with a supercrew.IT was like a totally different (smooth) ride.I know when you shut the doors on my supercab the whole side of the truck shakes, and I feel this is where some of the vibration comes from.Just watch when you close both doors on one side.

My ex had a '04 Scab, and I don't remember it riding bad. I didn't test drive any scabs when I was going truck shopping last year since I knew I wanted a screw, so I'm not sure if the 09+ scabs ride bad. But if you hated the ride of the scab, why did you buy a scab instead of a screw?

Dropped tire pressure from recommended 40 to 35.Will give it a try to see what happens.Any other suggestions anyone change shocks or have something else up their sleeve?

your shocks shouldn't be bad already...If it keeps bouncing after a bump then they probably are.

maybe look at some of the rubber bushings or something. Im not too rounded on newer vehicles but those parts shouldnt be worn out yet
