Backup lights intermittent after backup camrea install
Hey guys I installed a backup camera about a month ago and now the backup lights and the camera are intermittent, some times wont even come on at all, unless I shut the truck off and then restart it.
Any ideas, I'm not even sure where to start looking, all my connections are soldered.
What kind of backup camera did you purchase? Might be a ground issue, or a bad wire soldering. Have you searched on google to see if other owners had had this type of issue?
I'm a electrician so I'm pretty good at soldering, I know my connections are good. I purchased the camera off eBay for $187.00 and I think it's the camera that's causing the issue, gonna send it back for a replacement, once I contact the seller
Oldsmuggler, are these the license plate lights you are referring to?
If I couple these with the replacement LED Backup light bulbs this will probably do what I want and for fairly cheap and minimal wiring.
