Default Back Seat Issues.....2011 Screw

Just wondering if anyone else out there has experienced anything like this...
I have a 2011 screw, just sold a 2009 screw. I thought the back seat stayed down until you released the handle underneath? and when in the "up position", it stayed there until you released the handle?
My '11, the seat doesn't secure in the down position like it does in the up position. It does not look even across the entire seat (larger part looks slightly higher than the smaller seat).
I am also getting a very annoying loud squeeking when someone is seated in the back.
I had it to the local dealer today and they said it's not supposed to clip in when in the down position. They also said it appears to be normal for the seat not to sit flat acrosss (one side is higher than the other). They are trying to locate the squeek. They think it may be the padding but not sure. They are taking it apart tomorrow.
Any ideas?

The rear seats don't lock in the down position, only the up. The manual says to lift up on the corner to raise the seat.

They're not supposed to lock down. One of the great features about it is you can just flip it up with one hand without having to fiddle with a handle or something. It doesn't (or shouldn't) move when it's down so it has no reason to lock. Gravity takes care of it. It does lock in the up position, and you have to release the handle for it to go down. I see no noticeable height differences across my backseat in the down position. Squeaks could come from a billion places, so I have no idea as to what is causing yours

I have an 11 and love the setup for the seats. I'll come out of the store with a handful of plastic bags and with one hand I can flip up the seat to get to the bag hooks on the underside of the seat! Those hooks are awesome, hook the bag there and drive like you normally do without worry about everything sliding around. My seats don't sit even either but that's because I have a plastic storage container under the seat to hold jumper cables and tools and it's just a hair too deep to slide under the seat without pushing it up a bit. No squeak in mine and no complaint from the backseat passengers so far! They're all amazed with how much legroom there is with me driving. I'm 6'4" tall and always drive with the seat all the way back and there is still plenty of room to sit behind me in the backseat, loving this truck!

The hooks were something I barely took notice of when test driving trucks and everything, but man once I got my truck I was very grateful Ford put them on there. Not something that seems like a big deal at first, but it sure does come in handy every week.

I had no idea what the plastic slips under the seats were for. Thanks!

When the seat is down it rests against the seat mounts. I noticed that out of the 4 mounts (2 for each seat), only the inside mount for the bigger of the two seats had a rubber bumper pad. I asked my dealer about this as there are holes in the other mounts to hold the rubber bumpers. The smaller "jumper seat release handle actually rubs on the sub plastic housing when people sit. The dealer said that all trucks only came with one rubber bumper pad and factory confirmed it when they called.
Their parts dept showed me that each seat mount shows to have one (there all the same part number). I bought the other 3 and it leveled out the seats and the smaller jumper is no longer rubbing on the sub housing.

Did everybody else only get one rubber bumper pad? OP, this may be your problem.
