Default Automatic to Manual?

I have a 1995 F150 with an automatic transmission thats going bad? I was wondering if anybody has put a manual in for their automatic? If so how much did it cost and what else did you need to change? Was it worth it?

Thanks
Bubba

Default Auto to manual

Hi,

Yep I just converted my 1986 XLT from Automatic to manual, mine is a 4x2, well what I did was bought a wrecker, There is a lot of work, steering column has to come out to change the pedal assembly, hole to be cut in the floor, to accommodate the gearbox access.

Was it worth it, oh yeah!! It's now a real truck, I come from Uk, where Auto is rare, most cars and all trucks are fitted with Manual Gearboxes.

So first thing is to find a wrecker same year as yours..

Good luck!! Billabong.
