automatic engine shut down

Bunch a spoilt brats sounds like to me. Once you get used to pushing the button every time you start the truck, it will be automatic. I love the feature. Everyone who rides in my trucks are very impressed how easy it works and how unnoticeable it is and how it only shuts off under ideal conditions, etc.
saves a little.

You are already hitting a button to start it. Just hit 2.
I actually like the feature unless I'm in bad stop/go traffic. Then i just turn it off until traffic clears.

OP, if you want to delete the start stop feature go ahead, it's your truck.

XL forever!
I recently had an F150 rental while my truck was in the shop. It was a 18 STX with the 3.3l V6. It had the start/stop feature and at best it’s annoying. If my next truck has it I’ll diable it on day one.

Patience is a virtue. A very good one to have. If you don't have the patience to get used to something this easy, how do you even do life ?

Simple disconnect. Under the dash to the left of the brake pedal there is a vertical bank of plug in's. Upper two are white, do not touch, bottom is a small black one, with truck OFF, disconnect this black clip and let it hang. Then start the truck, on my 2018 I get a small light in the bottom left hand corner which shows the A with a line thru it, meaning the Auto Start/Stop feature has been disabled. The auto switch on the dash does not show anything.
This plug has two wires and these are the brake light wires to the trailer so they have no impact other than to operate the trailer lights and shut this system off. Only suggestion would be if you do this, make sure before you hook up to a trailer you remember to plug this back in.
So far no issues at all except I no longer have to remember to turn this system off, it's always off.

They supposedly built all those components heavier duty to stand up during all of the starting, but common sense tells you it would have to take a toll on the parts after a while. I actually don't think it would be good for the engine either. I still like how it works better than the GM cylinder deactivation crap, at least you can shut it off.
