Default Too Complicated for a Guess:

Run a scan of the system for trouble codes.

Default One or the Other or the Other:

If there is an Advance Auto Parts store nearby, go there for a free scan of your system; otherwise, get a scanner of your own. I don't know which system is in your truck; a '95 should be OBD2, but it could be an OBD1.
For OBD2, an Equus/Innova 3030 works; for OBD1, an Actron CP-9015 does the job. Either one is a simple solution for system scanning.

The scanners come with sufficient information in the owners' manuals to give you what you need to know.
