Default Auto stop/start not working

2017 2.7 Ecoboost. Just picked this truck up and everything is great except the auto stop/start isn't working. I come to a stop and the icon lights up white/gray but not green like it should. Wheel is straight, heat is off, four wheel drive off, and brake is set. Any ideas?

when it does that, scroll to the bottom of your fuel economy screen, it will tell you why it isn't shutting down

It says engine charging. I just got back from an approximately 50 mile drive. I would have thought it was charged by then

Battery too small or dying? When I purchased my truck it didn't have the correct sized battery in it, so it wouldn't let the auto start/stop engage. Try throwing it on a charger, may need to just be charged up from sitting too long.
