Can’t seem to figure out how to get apple car play to work on my 2018 sync 3. Any help is appreciated. I have made sure car play is turned on in my privacy of my phone, sync recognizes my phone and is connected via Bluetooth. When I plug my phone into the usb all it does is charge.

 

This may be a silly question... Are you plugged into the USB outlet in the front of the console under the radio? Sync works through USB, through those ports, not bluetooth.

 

You may need to replace the usb module with the upgraded one.
