I'm a big whitetail hunter myself! Now that turkey season ends tomorrow, I'll be counting down the days until September 24th when Ohio bow season opens up!
Suzuki, your Grandpa said it best! I passed up a lot of deer last year because I saw a 160" buck in early October that I kept holding out for and ended up getting skunked, but man I love being in the woods!
It has been a pretty quiet spring though. I think because we had such a mild spring, they bred early. I actually came across a hen the other day and she had 8 poults with her already. I was definitely lucky to get my bird! I almost hit it with my truck and I pulled off quick and set up in the woods and called him to me. It all happened in 15 minutes. It was pretty crazy

Nice buck rottozip! It is always funny to me to see how small Texas deer are compared to Ohio deer though...body wise at least. Great buck though!

Animal Hoarder
Helped a friend of mine drag out a 12 pointer that weighed 300 + Pounds. When he went to field dress it it was full of tumors, we couldn't save any of the meet. He shot it the bottom of a ravine and it took us 3 hours to haul it out.
We called the game warden and he disposed of the body, let us keep the rack and didn't even make his use his tag.
