Any electricians out there?
A teacher friend of mine is in a bind. She needs to use her elmo, it's kinda like a camera that hooks up to a projector...Anyways, there is no power cord so I took the one off some computer speakers. The thing is it works, but the cord for the speakers has an output of 16v and the elmo has an input of 12v. Will it damage the elmo? I know it's not about trucks, but there's a lot of guys here that know about this type of thing. Thanks everyone!

Not a chance I'd take. It might work for a short period of time, but the over voltage protection in the device is only going to work for so long. It's more than likely stepping the voltage down to 5V, and using 5V to power the camera, and the internal P/S most likely has a small amount of over voltage protection (zener diode circuit) but they only work for so long in an extreme over voltage situation.
