Default Annoying squeeky bed...

I know what it sounds like... but this thing is driving me crazy, and yes, I've tried cranking up my stereo too.

First I thought it was my seat squeeking, but I sprayed some lubricant around the hinges and it didn't help. Then the other day I noticed that the squeeking stops when I press on the brakes, but starts up again and continues when I accelerate. Once in a while, it disappears, only to return a few minutes later.

Literally it sounds like Gremlins, or hamsters running on the hamster wheel.

How is the bed attached to the frame? Are there bushings or something that needs to be replaced or lubed? That's what I'm assuming is going one here.

Oh, it's a 96 F150 regular cab, short bed, Eddie Bauer ed., black and tan, with the 302 V8, hope that covers all the questions.

Any useful suggestions appreciated.

Cheers.

what about the tailgate bushings? The noise sounds like it's coming from right behind the seat.

There are four bed bolts with rubber bushings on them between the bed and the frame. See if any of the bolts are loose or the bushings are worn out.
