Default Android auto hell.

I finally got wireless android auto working. I wanted it JUST for the audio apps I run like tidal. Problem is android auto takes over for my phone calls in and out. I do not want my calls being monitored by my passengers. I also can't control the calls out.
how can I stop aa from taking my calls?
Or maybe a suggestion on sites that can better answer this

You'll just have to tell the mistress to stop calling you.
I kid, I kid.

You can run any audio app through Bluetooth......but if you insist on Android auto to play the audio through the app, you give the app full permission.

When on Android Auto, if a call comes in, doesn't it also give you the option to use the phone speaker for a private convo? I think it does on mine.

Worse case scanario, you hit the speaker button on the phone when a call comes in, magic, presto, no audio throughout the truck-o.

BTW, hands-free only in most nations. I just tell the caller they are on speaker, or that I'll call them back, I'm-a-travelin'.

yes that would work in most peoples case.
in my case I have employees riding in my truck to job sites. Conversations about jobs take place and I don't want my passengers involved. All my other trucks I can switch to my head set but this new truck with sync 4 won't let me do it. If I force it to switch I lose aa and my navigation to my location.
I'm looking for options. On all other trucks I could simply tell the aa app not to pass calls in the settings. When I do the same on this truck the setting automatically switches back.
I use aa to provide Google maps. Usually that's been on my phone. With sync4 aa provides that on my screen in the truck. Really really cool! I van set my phone down in the charging station. Music is nice to run through aa. Its just that now i see how aa is ao nice in the new truck and the other cool things it does it does something I don't want. If I can use aa for all the other features and still get to use my headset for incoming and out going calls it woukd be perfect

Gotcha. No ideas, I never use headsets. I also hotspot my phone to run AA on a tablet.
