Default Am I Screwed?

Was installing some led tail lights this morning and kept getting hyper flash, even with resistors. Went back over to make sure every thing was tightly clamped on splice connectors. As I was clamping on down, both tail lights stopped working. The work with the turn signaling, hazard flashers on, and brake lights function. However, when the running lights are on, they don't light. Thoughts?

Also, headlights and front signals work fine.

It's a 2014 Screw.

I would check fuses, then reinstall the factory tails to narrow down the problem.

Once you have it all figured out, you may just want to head to a Dealer and get them to turn off the hyperflash in the BCM. You need an IDS tool to do it, but it only takes a few minutes. I think the flag is "Lamp out Indicator". The local dealer charged me $50 to do it. This way you can also throw LED's in the fronts without messing with wire splicing and resistors. Once you put in LED's you can't really make use of the hyper flash anyway.

That wont work on a 2013 or older, I tried. Nice to see they added the feature in later years.

how are you installing the resistors? they wire from turn wire to ground, and not body ground(although that probably works) to ground wire

Don't mess with resistors. Replace your flasher relay with a EP27 flasher for leds.

Just noticed you have a 2014, not completely sure about my previous post with that year. Google it and see.

Thank you for reminding me why I'm so glad I left my turn signal bulbs stock when I bought my LEDs for my truck.
