well i think i have a bad alternator on one of my trucks just not the ford lol.(the mitsu) im under the impression that with the belt off, it should spin freely, is this correct? mine has a lot of drag when spun. it also squeels when running, it has done this since i had all belts replaced when i bought the truck in march.

in two weeks the alternator threw 2 belts and left me stranded at work ( where i have no dsesire to be there more than 50 hrs a week BTW) on that particular day i also happened to leave my lights on so i had one very dead battery lol. the second time i was walking from the truck to the house and saw most of a belt laying in the driveway, and sure as **** it was my brand new one so i parked it and stopped driving it for like a month so now ive decided to work on it now that the anger has gone away.
