air vent trouble
I have a 2000 F-150 Lariat 4x4,I turn my air on and put the setting to come out the vents,it does for a few minutes,then it comes out of the defroster for a minute then back to the vents.Has anyone experienced this problem before.Hopefully it,s an easy fix.Appreciate any leads....

As a safety feature the HVAC system is designed to default to defrost in the event of a vacuum leak. You have a vacuum leak in the system. Set it to floor to see if it switches to defrost and back to floor. If it does there may be a leak in the control switch connector or the vacuum harness connector behind the floor vents.
