I suspect the engine program may be behind and we may see the new trucks for 2021 and the new powertrains in 2022. This often works to the manufacturers advantage as they can sell the new truck the first year, the new powertrains the second and to the "wait and see'ers" the third.

Has anyone heard how many trucks they are building a week in the two plants?

I tend to stay away from the first model year of any vehicle. As good as Honda and Toyota are with reliability even they have bugs that need to be worked out in the first model year.

All things being equal I'd not wait. That being said, it would not concern me to get the new model release.
