At 14k miles and less than 2 years in Canada, I wouldn't be worried at all. My '13 is from Ontario, 47k miles were put on it there. PO undercoated 2-3 times for the 4 years he had it. I checked under the undercoating and there wasn't any rust.

I'm from RI but we use a lot of salt for storms. My dad's 02 gmc has ~130k miles on it and has been driven in just about every snow storm we've had, gets maybe a couple car washes a year (maybe once or twice in the winter out of all this time) since then and has plowed for 15 years, some of that being commercial. There is only surface rust on the frame and the rockers only have a little bit of rust/rot. Wheel wells have 0 rust. And it was never undercoated.

What I'm saying is, rust isn't a big concern for you.

Good lord, I would hope the 2015's aren't rusting already! My husband has 2010 and it has been a Wisconsin truck all of its life. He takes very good care of it, but just a few weeks ago I noticed his cab corners are beginning to rust. I told him not to park so close to my 07. LOL
