Adding a power point
I am adding some radio equipment in my F150 and need a 30 Amp circuit. The Power Points are only fused for 20 Amps, and I am sure that is not enough.
On my previous truck (Ranger) I ran two fused wires straight from the battery to the radio power block. On my new 2011 F150-XLT, I see that everything going to the ground of the battery goes through a current-sensing loop. Any idea if I should do that with my new/separate circuit?
Ideally I would use a "spare" circuit, but I have no way to find if there are any accessible wires coming from the fuse block.
Thanks
