Default Adding a new bull bar

I just bought this bull bar from Americantrucks.com. I have a 2013 FX2 so it doesn't have the cutouts in the lower valence for the tow hooks. This particular bull bar mounts through there, so that leaves me with the decision on if I should cut my current lower valence or purchase a FX4 valence. What are y'alls thoughts on what would be the best option? Additionally, when I looked up the part online it was saying it wouldn't fit my FX2, if any of y'all could find one that would fit I'd appreciate it!

Your money lol spend it as you see fit.
Personally, with a 6-7 year old truck I would just cut/dremel the valence for access.
Did this on my 2012 and it looked perfectly fine.

You could dremel out the holes but considering the front end of any vehicle is the prominent face I'd opt for the 4x4 valance and I did when I installed tow hooks on the front of my 2wd XLT. I wanted a clean factory look and not something that was dremeled out by some moron with no dremel skills lol.

You can look up a valance of any trim level for your year model as a 4x4 and get the correct part. FX4 is 4x4.

Waste of money - it's among the most-cosmetic parts available, built to LOOK like one of the most-functional.

Am I understanding this right? Your opinion is that anyone who has a bull bar on their truck is dumb?

Agreed. Bull bars are virtually worthless from a 'strength' perspective. Extremely thin wall tubing.

Lol, I usually try to avoid making sweeping generalizations about other people's intelligence, especially those I've never met. But good for you, and for all those people who put one on their truck because they thought it looks cool....all you guys are dumb apparently, lol.

I didn't see there being a poll on whether a bull bar was functional or not. That is a completely different topic than what the OP asked.

Nope...what's his name said you're all stupid if you got one. Another glorious opinionated declaration common to this forum.

Steve said it was a waste of money because of it's poor quality, you're the one that started slinging the words stupid and dumb around, not Steve83.
