Default Adding cup holders?

My 2021 I picked up a couple of months ago has its shifter on the wheel column. Not sure why, because there's space for it between the seats as shown in the photo.

Anyway, I was wondering if I could add a cup holder thing, just like the one it already has next to it. The space looks identical in size. And the bottom part of the empty tray easily lifts right out.

So does Ford, or anywhere else, offer a way I could add a couple of extra cup holders in that space that would be closer to me?

Since they look dimensionally the same, why don't you try swapping them from one side to the other....rotated 180 degrees of course. Most stuff in our interiors are held in only by clips. You could have the cup holders on your side and retain the cubby for other items. Besides, who can drink 4 beers at the same time anyway, lol?

Yea, that would work too. But I'd have no idea even what or how to swap the unit around. Too afraid to just randomly start pulling on things...

Looking into this, it won’t work reversing it. That center combo is all one piece. See this video from YouTube below. American Truck has an insert however for an arm and a leg. You might be able to find something similar cheaper on Amazon or eBay.

One way to do it on the 13th gen (15-20) is to use the F250 console top with has a section that slides left and creates 2 additional cup holders on the driver side. It too costs and arm a leg. Not sure if the newer Super Duty trucks also have this same sliding console portion that would fit your newer 21 F150. Might look into that as well.

Found an insert on Etsy. 3D printed.
