Default Adaptive cruise control

Hi guys, I have 2022 Ford f150 lariat. I’ve been having some issues with my front sensor and a lot of times it shows pre-collision assist is not available. Because of this my adaptive cruise control does not work. I tried changing it to the normal cruise control, but every time I press the button, it says adaptive cruise control not working even after I have changed it to normal. Does anyone know how to make normal cruise control work? I haven’t had the time to change the sensor but I have a long drive up ahead and it’s hard to do it without cruise control. Thanks.

Possibly try disabling precollision assist first.

Is your truck dirty? I know on my work van that when the sensors and windshield are dirty I start getting those alerts. Just a thought.

Complete basic profile/signature info with your truck (yes, I know for THIS thread you have a '22 lariat, but future threads......and location). I see that you have KMs on your dash. Are you in Canada - Vancouver,Toronto, Inuvik, St Johns?) Mexico, Europe?
Agree w brimee. Dirt is the first thing to examine: bumper, behind the plastic square bumper cover, the sensors behind the RV mirror, clean the windshield inside and out. I got a mapleleaf truck that -after an excellent detail job by the dealer- I found tiny gravel pebbles and dust emerging out of crevices for months.
I would trace the primary ACC sensor (behind front bumper I believe) and focus on cleaning that area and check for loose connections. After all that, check if warranty replaceable. GLWR

I have a '17 with ACC. I find that my system will disable itself if there's too much rain. That can put too much water in front of the sensor in the bumper. Once that water drains away, the ACC system comes back to life. The other thing (and most common by far) that causes my ACC to disable is that I have occasional faults in either my steering column control module OR the left switch pack on the steering wheel. I suspect that the problem isn't the switch pack... so I'll eventually switch out the steering column control module. Having Forscan (and the lite versions too) are nice because those errors can be displayed and what I usually see are SCCM-related errors. Since having ACC, I find that I really don't like standard/regular cruise control. If standard cruise won't work either, it's not a sensor module causing the problem. It very well could be a switch pack or the steering column control module (or component inside) causing the errors...
