AC not working
2000 Ford F150, 50,750 orig. miles.
Question: Is the AC clutch plate always indented with housing or only when its engaged?
My clutch always shows to be in an "indented", engaged position. I dont want to start fooling around with it if its not neccessary.
Would this also cause a parasitic drain which I have been fighting for the past 4 weeks?
Any help most appreciated.

That's a 9.28 drain. My "new" truck battery goes completely dead in about 48 hrs or so. My multimeter might be reading in error, so I am waiting for a new meter to arrive.
Still I still have the inop AC.I thought I would check the AC fuse/relay, whatever in the meantime.

Question:
Is it a Relay going bad or what? Over the past 4 weeks, at times, my battery drains completely or almost completely DEAD. Also, at times my battery stays at full charge. I am baffled ? My guess is that its a relay going bad, and if so , what relay could cause a new 12V battery to drain completely in 48 hours or less. Any suggestion

The ac clutch is not always engaged. Only engaged when ac is pumping cold air. If it is engaged always may be draining baytrru. Consider disconnecting clutch power leads to stop drain. Find out why its locked on. Consider a faulty pressure switch, likely the low pressure switch.
