I have a 2009 fx4 5.4 and the abs light, parking break light, and traction control light all came on with it saying check break system. I took it to the dealer and they said there was a short in the abs computer and wanted $900 to fix it. Does this sound about right? and how hard would it be to just do it myself? Any info on this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

 

That price sounds about right, ABS parts are not cheap especially the brain and HCU. You could change it yourself but you still have to do an electronic service bleed and for that requires IDS, very expensive computer the dealer has.
