Question About to pull the trigger on Spray-on bed liner. Should I do it?

The local Bullet Liner installer offered to do my truck bed including over the rails where the drop-in liner already scratched the paint for $400. I'm really interested in doing this but I'd like to hear from people who have experience with this. Particularly experience with the Bullet Liner products.

Also, since I don't do hardly any kind of hauling that might damage the bed, I wonder if I should go with a thinner spray liner to save on weight.....

i don't have any spray liner, i have the stock ford one. but i like the drop ins, just for the fact i slide things in and out of the bed. it protects it really well. the spray seems awesome, but i've read it fades, and for the stuff i slide in and out, it will definitely scratch it up. not for me, but if that's what you like, then go for it!

i'd say keep the regular spray. you never know what you'll haul in the future.

You can't go wrong with a spray-in bedliner. I have a Line-x spray-in and love it.

I don't remember anyone reviewing the Bullet liner, but I can tell you that it's well documented on this forum that the Line-X liner doesn't fade, chip or scratch. Do a search...there are tons of threads on it and it's in the same price range as the Bullet liner you're talking about.

I have the line-x and like it a lot. Can't compare the price between the two - different products and different geographic areas. I'm sure it's more here on Long Island. I don't think you'll be unhappy with the spray on liner. The bullet probably has a warranty. The Line-X has a lifetime warranty where they will repair it if necessary.

I have noticed a lot of people talking liners and spray -in or slide-in. I have a plywood liner 3/4 inch thick and love it. It may not be pretty but durable and serviceable it's what I need. So I would say go with what you need.

That looks so much cleaner now. I have a rhino lining it came with the truck and it looks faded even with a bed cover. I may have to spruce it up myself with some rustoleum bedliner spray.
