Default Abbreviations?

I'm a new to the forum, but was able to figure out a few of them...

Turns out, I drive a Screw and my Father in Law drives a Scab...

What's a RCSB? Is it Regular Cab Short Bed?

Mrs Aqualung has a Regular Cab, Long Bed, so is that a RCLB?

Thanks for indulging me...

Aqualung

Short bed is 5.5', standard bed is 6.5', and long bed is 8'. Screw only comes in 5.5' or 6.5'. Regular cab only comes in 6.5' and 8'. Scab only comes in 6.5' and 8', except some of the earlier Raptors were regular cab 5.5' and I think can still get a Scab Raptor with 5.5' bed.

So, RCStandardB, RCLB,

Interesting topic as i've always thought all forums should include some kind of sticky or equivalent for abbreviations.

When first joining this forum, IWE was a big mystery. What the hell did that abbreviation mean?
Apparently all members here knew what it meant so being new here and didn't want to disrupt the thread flow with a 'dumb' question, i decided to google it.

Agreed. When you have a group of enthusiasts...they tend to develop a shorthand abbreviation or acronym for lots of things.
I thought the same thing when I joined, I wasn't always sure what they were talking about. A little searching usually solved the mystery. I do wonder if anyone would read the sticky to know what the abbreviations were.

I think if it were in a more prominent place instead of a sticky.

For example a Forum Topic Title called something like 'Common Abbreviations' was added under the main Topic like:

Ford F150 - Community of Ford Truck Fans.

Ford F150 Forums

Introductions

Common Abbreviations Used in this Forum

General F150 Discussions
