Default 98f150 wont start

So I try to crank my truck today and it won't start. Everything was working lights/radio/etc until I tried to crank it then all I hear is a loud click that sound like its coming from the fuse box under the hood. What would be causing this problem? Is it the ignition switch fuses? Any feedback would be great! Thanks!

Clicking sounds like a weak battery, enough juice to use the electronics you mentioned, but not turn over the starter, or if the battery is good possibly a bad/loose/corroded connection to the battery or starter...

My 98 4.6 I just traded had the same problem. It could be a bad battery connection or ground. The ground cable is attached to the frame behind the right front wheel.
It turned out on my truck to be the braded wire between the starter and the selenoid. I replaced the starter. If it's a 4.6, it's difficult to reach all three bolts. Best way is remove the right front wheel and work thru the wheel well. Long extensions, on rarchet with swivels work best. Good Luck.

I had a '97 and the AC condenser dripped right on the starter causing the cable to corrode away.Same action when turning the key- so check the cable on the starter.
