Default 96 f150 4.2 v6 won't start

Drove to my house from ny to ohio on friday, no probs, try to start it today, won't start, makes a clicking noise near battery. Cleaned off the batt terminals and i have a good battery charge, it just makes a clicking noise when I try to turn the engine over, sounds like a soleniod switch is engaging up by the battery leads, however the starter will not engage, either in park or neutral. Any ideas?

Welcome to the forum! Try to jump a solenoid mounted on the inner passanger fender (make sure your truck is in neutral or parking). If it will engage the starter, replace the solenoid.
