I ran a 93PRX tune on my '12 5.0. When E85 was .70 less a gallon or more, it would get E85, more/less made up the difference in mileage. Power increase was felt very readily. I wish this 3.5 Ego could run it with the 93PRX.
I run it on in my '18 5.0 RCSB and I clocked a 0-60 time of 5.29 the vbox with 35" tires. Which is pretty decent, the truck had just a little over 1000 miles on it. I need to go run it again sometime soon.
Wow, I wonder why you have so many there? I have never thought about using it with only 3 places to get it anywhere near us, all at least an hour away. We have more places selling alcohol-free gas than E85.
I'm in Michigan we have E85 everywhere it's all I use in my coyote truck and mustang
I'm in South California. E85 is very easy to find and about a dollar cheaper than 87. But it's pretty much impossible to find anything above 91, or anything ethanol free. I ran e85 and got more power but about 2 mpg less.
E85 is found everywhere by me I have 5 stations within 10 minutes of my house with it and it is $0.90 cheaper than 87 right now...My mustang 5.0 is tuned on E85 and loves it
With the recent price hikes in Michigan, you can find E85 for 28% less than 87 octane, at SOME STATIONS. Of course those stations are more expensive overall. For example, at a Speedway E85 is $2.17. 87 octane $3.09. 28% less would be $2.22, so that's barely makes the cut. $0.92 per gallon cheaper. Sounds great.
However, Costco is $2.79 per gallon for 87 octane. 28% cheaper would be $2.01. Not going to find that. So I save money, and get better MPG, by buying at Costco.
In general, E85 only makes sense over 87 octane in corn belt states with a higher price differential.

In California, a dollar cheaper would not be enough based on the gas prices there. Needs to be 28% cheaper, i.e. multiply by 0.72.

YMMV...They don't sell E85 in the state of Maine and there is one station about a half hour away that sells 91 octane with no ethanol, but it costs $.60 more per gallon than 93 w/ 10% ethanol (which is available at every gas station around here).
