i called the guy about it a little while ago and he said its in pretty good shape, not much rust. the PO told him the engine and tranny were rebuilt about 30k ago. the steering is a little loose, and the 4wd works great. gearing unknown. going to look at it tomorrow, what do you guys think?

Not bad, definitely needs a paint job, some rims, and to get rid of the bed topper, but they are awesome trucks.

I had a '78 and I loved it! Extremely reliable, and easy to work on. The steering being loose is so common on those trucks that it would be weird if it wasn't, mine had some play, but I got used to it pretty quick.
