Default 6" BDS Kit install time

How long would it take to install a 6" BDS on a 2016 F150? The kit without the front Fox coilovers. I took mine to a shop and they finished in 5-6 hours which seemed very quick considering BDS says it takes around 8-10 hours. They did have 3 guys working on it but it still seemed very fast to have it finished the same day I dropped it off.

It's amazing how quick and efficient you work when you do something for a living

Took me 5hrs in my driveway including the alignment. I do this kind of work for a living and have the required tools on hand. If it took 3 guys that long, I'd say they weren't in a hurry.

Seriously this. When you do something day in and day out it becomes second nature almost like breathing. You can plan the job out in your head without even thinking about it and already have all the possible issues thought through.

I not sure how anything gets done without at least 3 trips to home depot and 4 trips to the auto parts store (and probably 1 trip to Harbor Freight).

I am not a professional. And I did my lift in my driveway on jack stands, using air tools, in about 7 hours over 2 days. I also did UCA's, lower ball joists, tie rod ends, brakes, sway bar end links, and sway bar bushings. Which is why I did mine over 2 days. Take out the time I spent doing that work, and I was right at 7 hours.

Sounds like you have some good mechanical skills. I took my time and like you using only jack stands. Spent nearly 1.5 hrs just on the alignment, friggen turn plates I bought didn't float like what I would have on an actual alignment rack so I had to adjust, then roll the truck forward/back, recheck angles a few times to get it spot on.

Had I the proper floating turn plates I'd have finished the entire job in 3.5hrs including alignment. So I made do with what I had on hand and it worked out.

It's how mechanics make money. They finish in less time than the book/job calls for, then move onto something else and effectively get paid double time.
Several years ago I did so many F150 UCAs that I could swap two out in under an hour. Truck on the ground to truck on the ground with UCA's installed
