And what really makes me wonder is, where is the outrage? Where is the "dont support GM" sentiment? Cause i sure dont see it. The area I live in has always been extremely pro GM / anti Ford, filled with conservatives, yet even this didnt change that. The new silverado is the most popular vehicle on the road here, destroying ford in half ton sales, chevy owns this area, the same way its been my entire life here. The droves of Garbage Motors worshippers havent batted an eyelid to the bailout, they still hate ford and bow down to GM like its still 1985. It makes me shake my head that anyone would still want to support a company that f***** the taxpayers more than any other brand in the history of the auto industry.
Regarding the thread topic, both engines are "ford junk" according to the 8 billion schmucks who drive lifted silverados around here These are the same d-bags who think its ok to drive 95 in a 50 because of how butthurt my sweet Ford truck makes them..

What I think is funny is the vitriol that a tiny segment of the population has. I.E "GM is best ford sucks. Anybody who drives a Chevy is a fool, idiot, uninformed, a poser, etc. OR "Ford is best GM sucks. Anybody who drives a Ford is a fool, idiot, uninformed, a poser, etc"

I doubt 99% of the population cares what they drive as long as it meets their needs. I bet the vast majority on this forum has owned and will own GM products and would own one now if it met their needs better.

But hey it's fun to stratify into us vs them groups. It's human nature. Just counterproductive at times.

Translation... "I'm happy to re-ignite a controversial subject because I'm bored".
