Default 4 wheel drive problems

It has been a brutal winter here in upstate NY(still tons of snow) and have used my 4X4 a lot. Recently a growling/grumbling front end noise has developed when the putting the truck back in 2 wheel drive. It is very annoying when slowing down. The noise only happens in 2wd and goes away when shifted into 4w auto or 4wd. The truck is an 13 Eco Screw. Just wondering if anyone had any ideas on what it is before bringing it back to the dealer.
