Default Wiring Diagram

Hey Curveball, I guess that we are both newbies to this forum. I just got helped earlier today so he is my chance to help. This link shows standard 4 pin breakout. http://www.etrailer.com/faq-wiring.aspx There is no running light connection, so the headlights have to be on. The turn signal wires are also the brake lights. I hope this helps. I also listed standard 4 pin color code below. Good luck

Right Turn-Green-Right turn of vehicle's wiring harness-Trailer's right turn signal
Left Turn-Yellow-Left turn of vehicle's wiring harness-Trailer's left turn signal
Ground-White-Vehicle ground point-Trailer ground point-metal, uncoated, rustproof
Tail / Marker-Brown-Taillight of vehicle's wiring harness-Trailer's taillights

Check to see if you have voltage on the brown wire at the 4 pin truck connector with the lights on. If you do, the problem is with the light bar. If no voltage, the problem is in the truck wiring. At least this way you can isolate the problem to the truck or to the light bar.

Check it with your park lights turned on. Does the led light bar show that there is a "running light" function? If you're looking for them to light with your "Daytime Running Lights", they wont. You need your park lights on to feed power to your 4way conncector.
