Default 4.6 Interceptor Please Help

Have a 2001 f150 and i just had an interceptor put in it? Think i will be able to tell a difference?

Nope, same engine, just isn't governed the same in the cruiser.

Internally there's no difference between an "interceptor" 4.6L and the civilian.

Differences between P71 (police) and the other Panthers (P70, P72, P73, P74) ...
  • PCM
    • higher shift points.
    • higher idle RPM.
  • oil cooler.
  • 2004+
    • 80mm MAF + high-flow airbox.
      MEANING: Combined with PCM table modifications - more power (+14HP).
BTW ... The Panthers (Crown Victoria, Mercury Marquis, etc.) did not get the PI (Performance Improved) heads until 2001 (which added 20+ more HP than the previous years).
