Default 33x12.50's rubbing?

Anyone have any idea why my neighbor can run 33x12.50's on his 2015 without any rubbing but when I ran 295/60's on my 2012 there was rubbing on the UCA's. I have a 14 now and really want some 33x12.50's but only if they don't rub.

He has Tokyo MT's and I had Nitto Trail Grapplers.

Does the 15's have a difference in clearance than the 14's?

I've got 35x12.50's on my 13 but also have 9.5" wide rims which is the minimum size rim width recommended for a tire that wide. They don't rub on my truck.

If you have a skinnier rim than what he does, it's possible they are bulging more causing the rub, another thing to consider is not all tires are the same even if they are the same size stated, some are taller/shorter, wider etc... all depends on the type of tire Eg: AT, MT and who made them.
.

That makes sense.
He has the stock 18" rims on his '15 and i have stock 20" rims on my '14 so maybe that's why.
I might try the 33x12.50's on my stock 20's. I know they make a 33x11.50 but I'm not sure those are big enough for the look I'm going for.

That looks nice.
Maybe the 18" rims are what the difference is...
