Get snow tires, leave traction control on, and start off in 2nd gear would be my suggestions.
I start in 2nd gear these days. Its a big help.

BTW What is you axle code and do you even have a Limited Slip Dif?
I bought it used and thought it had an LSD, but I guess I should have looked closer.

I have to assume all my old 2WD trucks had some sort of LSD.
The axle code on the door jam will tell you if had an open diff, LS, or e locker from the factory.

Pretty sure the OP doesn't have an ELD, there'd be switch on the dash somewhere.
Did Ford even offer an LSD in that year? My buck is on an open diff.
