i have a lifted 2wd on 35s... and when i go to the sand dunes i pull out lifted 4wds all the time. i think a 2wd is better because you know your limits better.. plus its hard to bury yourself to the frame lol

i agree everyone always has something to say about a lifted 2WD truck, i don't care what people think they have there own opinion just like me i have a lifted 2WD truck and i think it looks just as good if not better than most 4WD trucks on this site

It's your rig, do as you want man.
Thanks for the compliments on the truck.

Trust me I have caught my fair share of crap from guys about my lifted 2WD truck. I never try to pass it off as something it's not and that's a 4WD. I had it in a show last July 4th (won 3rd place in the truck category) and had a guy ask why the hell would I lift a 2WD? I simply showed him the pictures of the truck and said to make it go from this;

to this;

I lifted my 2WD because it's what I wanted and it was my money. Why do some guys who live in warm weather cities lift their 4WD trucks and then never take them offroading? No driving through a mud puddle or the sand isn't offroading because I can do that in my lifted 2WD.

I'm thinking about putting a leveling kit on my truck because I don't like how low the front end sits. It wouldn't be for off road ground clearance but to make the stance better.

i have a 4x4 and like most that have 4x4's it is hardly ever put to use. i have seen tons of 2 wheel drive trucks lifted being that i'm from louisiana. i applaud all of you that lift your 2x4's because in everyday situations they are just as capable as a 4x4

I have a 1995 5.8L V8 f150 2wd and I'm thinking of lifting it as well. People have told me to sell it and buy a 4x4 if I want to use it like a 4x4 but honestly I haven't been in a situation where I would have to put it in 4 wheel drive. I have brand new tires on and I can go pretty much anywhere. I have gone through almost two feet of snow with ease (kinda scared me though) and I have passed a lot of people on the roads. I do have weight in the back so that helps a lot.

I'm not sure whether I should get a rough country 4" or 6" though. I'm leaning more towards the 4" because I can use 33s instead of 35s and have a smaller tire for the MPG. Does anyone have an opinion on this?
