Haven't posted in a few years. I recently just got into my 4th F150 in the last 10 years.
Started with a 2016 XLT/ 3.5 EcoBoost.
Then had a momentary brainfart and got into a 2020 GMC AT4 (was a cool truck just not for me)
Then went back to a 2020 XLT 5.0. Great truck but traded it in for a '23 Honda Civic Si (cool car but too small).
Started a construction biz so got back into a truck. A 2023 Lairat powerboost (loved it). And after 18 months, and 40k miles just got into a 2025 F150 Tremor w/ 3.5 eco (needed the tax write off, almost pulled the trigger on a F250 but it was overkill).
A few things about the 2025 are driving me crazy:
1) the key fob no longer lights up on remote start even though the light is still there. WTH is that about? Even my 2016 XLT did that. Cheap azz ford
2) the lack of keypad on door. I know ford fixed this on the 2026's (as $500 factory add on) but come on. Guess I'll get the wireless and put it on my fuel tank door
3) Maybe I'm missing it, but the lack of "this trip" on the MPG screen. I always liked being able to see individual milage for that trip and compare it to my overall "trip 1" And the timer was nice too. It's just like. Gone? They had this feature going back 15 years.
4) The overall gauge cluster update on the 2025 just doesn't seem as premium as it was on the 2023. Maybe it's personal preference but it feels like ford cheaped out again.
Overall I am happy with the truck, and I've always wanted a Tremor so this is an upgrade from my '23 Lariat. But it just feels like ford is charging us more for less than ever before.
Oh. Also. I did my first fill up today. 30 miles to empty. But I only out 29.5 gallons in it? I assumed it was a 36 gallon tank. Is it a 30 gallon tank like my Powerboost was? Doesn't say anything about that on the sticker.

that sounds normal, there is some reserve capacity built in
I think Ford may have deleted the factory keypad because you can unlock and start the truck with the Ford App on your phone. Just about everyone has a smart phone on them nowadays. You can get the dealer key pad installed for around $200. It came on my 2025 Lariat already installed. I don't even use it. I use the phone or the fob to unlock the truck.
Another cheap out by Ford on the Tremor are the headlights. I mean a truck of this stature should not come with entry level XL headlights. The '23 had the premeium LED projectors. You don't even get LED tails or the 4A option on the transfer case on the base Tremor unless you spend 11K more for the top package. Just plain sad... I'm not bashing the Tremor and I really wanted one, but the headlights were a big no for me.

29.5 gallons sounds normal to me as well. Drain it way down and you will get a bit more.
