Default 2107 power steering

I have a 17' f150 drive train, that has been retrofitted to fit under an 87' Bronco body. Body control module has been removed and a separate stand alone system for engine and transmission in place. Truck is running, and I think I have a work around for electronic shift 4wd thanks to borg warner. My next hurdle is epas..... Replacement? Swap? Retrofit? Is the easiest thing to replace entire rack with a hpas? or is there some crazy way to utilize the existing rack. I have searched online and even tried culling through some of the threads. Anyone that has any input feel free, even the ones that tell me I shouldn't have started such a project. Look forward to reading your opinions or maybe which post to refer to. Thanks Phillip

So your wanting a rack and pinion steering system? You might try looking for a kit online to swap the systems. Several front suspension parts would have to be swapped to make it work

Easiest way is to fabricate brackets for a p/s pump and a frame shop for rack mounting unless you want to keep the old sector, then all you have to do is fab some brackets for the pump and add hoses.

Run a F150 6.2L pump and gear, but it won’t be cheap

you’re correct, I have looked for at that option, holding off as last resort

KRC offers a kit that will fit the mustang engine but not the truck engine. Does anyone know or has anyone fabricated a bracket that will fit the KRC pump to the truck engine? Or is it easier to just plan on changing the timing chain cover?
