New to the forum. Been lurking for awhile.

I am in the process of putting an order together for a new build. Went to the dealer today and when I asked him when 2024 orders will open up he obviously said "probably around November" and "you wont see any 2024s on the ground until this time next year". LOL

Obviously the guys is just trying to make a living and feed his family. So I am not mad at him. But a straight answer would have been much more appreciated. I have been buying cars for 50 years. And been in the auto racing business for 40 of those. So I am asking you when do you think 2024 orders will open up? I know we are living in a brave new world of supply chain issues and such but when did the order window open up for 2023's? 2022's?

The fleet manager at my company thinks it’s probably going to happen around end of July or early August. I’m waiting to order a 2024 as well.

 

I'm waiting to order a Lariat ..... My dealer says 'it will be awhile'... no real answer either. I'll call around today to see if any other dealer has a real answer.

I was told July/August as well.

 

I called around and was told the same: July or later. I wanted the new truck for Christmas!

Historically Ford gives the announcement of the upcoming vehicle 4-6 weeks before the order banks will open. At this point it will be July, which was the case last year. If they are going to be on the same schedule, then the announcement should be in a couple weeks. With everything they are trying to do with increasing quality and availability but decreasing number of parts and options, it could be August. The last couple years have been disastrous with their supply chain issues. I'm ok waiting to make sure that they come through with their promises but at the same time, there haven't been any official updates about the F-150 line, which I think is because of the Ranger Raptor taking up a good chunk of news.

 

Received a call today from my dealership. Said the 2024 f150 order banks open July 21. Made a appointment. Hope they have the options I want on a platinum

 

No way! I have been looking online every single day for something, so maybe the official announcement is coming soon? I had a 2023 order that was pushed to 2024 so hopefully my dealership will call me too.

 

WhiteMamba, just curious which Trim level you ordered? and any special options packages? I ordered my 2023 Lariat back in May 15, and I got an email today that it has finished my build and is in process of being shipped to my dealership.
