The guy in the video must be a Ford hater. You could replace the word Ford with any other manufacturer name. BTW for the last week I was trying to purchase a 2500 or 3500 Chevy or Ford. I found 1 Chevy and 0 Fords in stock. Plenty of 1/2 tons though.

Just like everything else, but, what it really means is that we must realize our "means" and live within that. Cant have everything!

That guy isn't very bright, he declared the Lariat to be the base entry F150, and cited it's MSRP of $60,800 as if that's the cheapest that you can get into an F150.
That and the constant mammering on about Ford franchises being in a pickle and screwing both them and us over while simultanously admitting prices on non-special vehicles have dropped back down to MSRP leads me to believe this is indeed a hit piece, where people will latch on to his statements of what HAD BEEN going on, while not gettting into legal trouble by subtlely stating what IS going on.
Hell, he even pointed out a truck that was below MSRP.
I think the whole point of this was to fool people into believing that you're gonna have to pony up at least $60k to buy ANY new F150, and to just keep them from even bothering to look at the brand.

Please don't instigate stupidity like this by watching the video so that Youtube gives this guy money.
At the end of the day, dealers didnt screw anyone. They charged what people would pay. I doubt anyone here would go sell their current truck to someone at 2019 pricing just out of the kindness of their hearts. No, you will sell it at market value and make as much money as you can. Additionally, if a dealers volume gets cut in half, they need to make 2x the profit on each vehicle to continue to get the same income.
The only people to point the finger at are the people who enable the dealers by paying the ridiculous prices. Thats it. But eventually it will come full circle. Its like musical chairs, when the volume comes back and prices start to drop, someone will get left standing with a truck they paid way to much money for.

This video is dumb, but the fact remains that the market is way out of whack, fueled in part by the Fed's cheap money policy that started before covid and was supercharged during. It has to self regulate, if the appropriate powers allow it to, but in the short term that means some significant pain for auto manufacturers. Ford will take a larger hit because they have other issues (like warranty costs) that will exacerbate their problems.

lol, yeah...stupid video for the sheeples of the world to 'buy in to', it all comes down to are you willing to pay $XXXXX for well, anything. You want to see a better example, go price some new boats, especially the hot-segment "wake-surf boats. Easy to drop a quarter MILLION dollars on a 25' boat. Probably a 1000% profit on most of them but guess what? People are queuing up for them, waiting 6 months or more for them to be built. Ford and all the other OEMs are laughing all the way to the bank.
