I had a viper remote start system installed in my truck. It just seems to blow colder air out the defrost, no other accessories (heat, vent, seats, etc) turned on.
I checked the menu behind steering wheel and I dont have the "remote start" selection to choose from.

Any suggestions? Dealerships were not sure how to "unlock" this feature so I can use the full remote start options.

 

Did you ask Viper or the installer?
Let us know how this works out. I would not think the Ford menu would have anything to do with an aftermarket remote start.

 

Yes. The installer talked to viper, and they said ford needs to do something to "unlock" that option. Dealerships here never heard of that. There is a youtube video about it, but they sell a piece of equipment that will hack the computer and unlock that option

 

Go look here in the 2015 Forscan thread, might even had where you can use the Ford system instructions in there where you didn't need the viper.
