Unhappy 2018 Ford xlt starter problem

Hello everyone,
I hope this is the right place to ask this question. I have a new Ford XLT with 3.5 Ecoboost engine. 200 miles on it. The starter wont work...it makes a clicking noise but doesn't turn over the engine the temp here is -7 F . I plugged it in and warmed up the starter with a hair dryer then it started. What gives? Any suggestions?

Thanks
Sergio

Key in your pocket, foot on the brake, Trans in Park? Do all the lights come on? You sure the battery is charged enough to start?

when you say you 'plugged it in' what do you mean? Usually when the starter just 'clicks' it's not getting enough voltage from the batt.

+1 on battery. May have some voltage but not enough to turn over the cold engine. Get it LOAD tested.

Take it back to the dealer. That`s what your warranty is for.

Difficult to take it to the dealer when it no go.

If it happens again call Ford roadside assistance and just have them take it to the dealer.

Since you got it to start, the first place I'd drive to is the dealer.

Don`t matter how it gets back to the dealer as long as it gets there.

Looks like a bot to me.

Don't bother opening a thread here, bring that brand new vehicle back to the dealership...
